An email from my friend, and a reply back from me...

From: "Justin Loh"Subject: observations made by me!Two men were in church when their pastor gave them an important task. Their task was to get as many people to come to church as possible. These two men thought about it for a second and the Lord gave them visions and names of many friends and family that were ready to accept Him. On their way home, they chanced upon a close foreign friend who did not yet know the Lord. They spoke together for a while and when the subject came to inviting him to church, they spoke, not without faith but without all their faith. The Lord began His work on the man through the little faith. Suddenly, the devil sent the two men a sudden craving for horse racing, for the devil knew that both men enjoyed the sport greatly. Sure enough, the two men forgot their intentions for inviting their friend. They started on the topic of horse racing before their friend had mad his decision, which was a yes. The two men began to persuade their foreign friend with the new found enthusiasm, much more than inviting their friend. This sudden outburst also caused their undecided friend to forget his reply. The man forgot about the invitation to church, defeated the Lord’s work and began to follow the two men in their sport. Now, I say to you. Preserver in the Lord’s work or the person you are fighting for might be lost forever to you.Luke 17:6He replied :” If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, “be uprooted and planted in the sea, “and it will obey you. The two men, lost concentration in their task, not because of the work devil but because they allowed the temptation. God was already working on their friend using their little faith. Two months later, their friend passed away and was lost to the Lord forever. I’m writing this not because of condemning horse racing but to show you of the senselessness of men and the selfishness that causes him to sin. How can you be enthusiastic for your own personal pleasures and not be in the Lord’s work for you? Be happy and excited in the work that God has given you for he knows that you can do this task. It was given to you because He knows that you can do it. Remember Pastor says that the holy sprit will be doing the work for you? Two whole rows! That’s many people! But do not be disheartened, even the children of God can accomplish this. God has told me that it is not the amount of people that you have brought to the Lord:1 all has been done by the Lord2 the real sum is about the number of people that you have saved from eternal separation.i pray that you will be reading this many times and that you will share with many of your friends. remember it is that holy sprit that truly convicts. Share not pass on this is not a chain mail! God gave you a mouth for a reason!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I totally agree with your observation.. in all churches in the world.. i guess we humans's are so "Two-faced", like having to seriously pray or worship during service or maybe even for a few days... and after so.. we go back to our daily lifestyle.. Its kina of happening around us.. and little faith is not the only thing that causes all these distractions coming along.. its our centre of focus... have you really seat down and really take time to reflect on questions like: what r the things u doing now? Are you really leading a Christian life just by doing ur QT? So far are you heading to God or ur things in life? Is your focus/ aim on God? And finally.. if u were to see God, what would He say to you? What do have for Him to be happy?
I guess sometimes.. even in my own walk.. i don't really seat down and reflect on all these Questions.. and sometimes get so caught up with 'Activities' either in church or work.. like what i said earlier.. we tend to go back to our routine again.. getting angry at work.. scolding ppl.. hating ppl.. sometimes even saying.. "Why is a Christian life so difficult to walk..Why isnt God helping me.. din He say He would? Lets just give up.. being a non-christian is so much easier.."
Look at tht statement.. have you even thought like tht? Lets just say.. you miss the whole point of walking with God...
A Christian life=Having a relationship with God=Being most satisfied in Him, making Him most glorifiedGuess tht could really answer to most of your Questions.. get right with God.. get on your knees to pray.. seek God! Use His Strength not yours! Get out of situations or friends who you know.. will pull u away from God.. Lastly.. Go back to Him.. He is always waiting with outstretched arms..
